Privacy Policy
Your practice stays yours.
This policy explains what Fourhold, listed on the App Store as Box Breathing Exercises Timer, collects, what stays on your device, what happens to feedback you choose to send, and how Firebase Analytics is used.
What Fourhold stores locally
Fourhold has no accounts. You never sign up, sign in, or give us a name.
Your breathing preferences, sound choices, and other app settings are stored on your device. So is your practice history — the sessions you complete, and the calendar and streak built from them — which is kept in an app database on the device and is not uploaded to us. Fourhold does not record your breathing or record microphone audio. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Apple Health
If you turn on the Apple Health setting, Fourhold adds a Mindful Minutes entry to Apple Health when you finish a session. That access is write-only: Fourhold asks only for permission to add those entries and does not request or read any Health data. Health information stays on your device under Apple's control; it is never sent to us or to Firebase Analytics. You can turn the setting off in Fourhold, or revoke the permission in the Health app, at any time.
Analytics data
Fourhold uses Firebase Analytics to send limited usage events. These may include app version, operating-system version, language or region, and events such as opening the app or viewing settings. Firebase may assign an app-instance identifier so usage can be measured over time.
Firebase may also derive a general or coarse region, such as country or region, from a masked IP address. Fourhold does not request location permission or collect precise location.
Fourhold does not send your breathing session content, microphone recordings, feedback text, name, email address, or precise location to Firebase Analytics. Analytics collection is part of the app’s operation; it does not include breathing session content or audio.
Firebase is provided by Google. Learn more in Firebase’s privacy information.
Feedback
When you tap “Send feedback,” your message is sent to Fourhold and stored in our Firebase (Cloud Firestore) project so we can read it and act on it. What is sent is limited to what the form shows you: your message, the category you picked, your app version, your device platform, and the reply-to email address if you choose to give one. Nothing else — no breathing session data, no audio, no device identifier, no precise location — is attached to it.
The reply-to address is optional. Leave it blank and the note reaches us with no way to identify you. If you give one, we use it only to reply to that note.
If sending fails, the form offers to copy the note to your clipboard instead, and nothing is transmitted.
To have a note you sent removed, email the support address listed on the support page, saying roughly when you sent the note and what it was about. We will delete it.
Tips
Every feature of Fourhold is free. If you choose to leave a tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase; we never see or store your payment details. A tip is a one-off thank-you and unlocks nothing in the app.
What Fourhold never uses
Fourhold does not use the camera, the microphone, Bluetooth, or precise location, and it does not ask for those permissions.
Children
Fourhold is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy when Fourhold changes. The date below shows when this page was last revised. For support, use the support page or the in-app feedback flow.
